The Challenge
With a robust pipeline of research and development projects the company wanted to make sure it was making informed decisions about pipeline priorities. An important part of this was identifying the timelines and resources required to bring new products to market.
The Solution
ASG was contracted to conduct project management consulting on specific, high-level research and development projects.
Working with each project team we facilitated the development of deliverables to help ensure each project was completed on-time, on-budget and with the desired results. Through the application of ASG Project Management process the project teams developed a consistent approach to project management including a project statement, project objectives, work breakdown structure, responsibility assignments, task sequencing and GANTT charts.
Results
The project plans developed by the project teams allowed for clearer decisions regarding the project portfolio, including prioritization of resources and timing of product development activities.
